Preserve Your ESPEC Chamber Investment with Tidal Engineering’s New Modular I/O Retrofit Solution
Tidal Engineering is pleased to introduce a new Modular I/O System specifically designed for retrofit applications involving legacy ESPEC SCP220 controllers.
This innovative solution interfaces directly with the existing SCP220 I/O boards, allowing many ESPEC environmental chambers to remain in service without costly rewiring or extensive hardware replacement. The technology is particularly valuable for highly integrated systems such as the TSE-11-A, as well as the widely installed ESPEC Reach-In and Walk-In chamber platforms.
The new Modular I/O architecture emulates the SCP220 controller’s functionality at the chamber’s existing 26-position ribbon cable interface, enabling seamless integration while preserving the chamber’s original field wiring and I/O infrastructure.
With the SCP220 controller now obsolete and at end-of-life status, many chamber owners face the difficult prospect of retiring otherwise dependable and irreplaceable test assets. Tidal Engineering’s retrofit solution provides a practical alternative—extending chamber life, reducing downtime, minimizing retrofit costs, and protecting your investment in ESPEC equipment.
By preserving existing chamber hardware while modernizing the control platform, Tidal Engineering is helping customers maintain the performance and reliability that have made ESPEC chambers an industry standard for decades.
