TraceSpeak to launch Fleet at Automotive Testing Expo North America 2026 in Novi
Late in a vehicle program, the hard question isn’t whether there is data. It’s what the data says. Test fleets record terabytes of CAN, CAN FD, Ethernet, LIN and diagnostic traffic every week across powertrain, chassis, body, infotainment and ADAS networks, and engineers spend days digging through traces to find out whether an issue is fixed, which software release introduced it, and which cars are still affected.
TraceSpeak Fleet answers these questions directly. Engineers and program managers ask in plain language, and Fleet replies with evidence extracted from the fleet’s recordings: the exact log segments, frames, signals and software versions behind each conclusion.
Typical questions Fleet can answer:
- Which ECU, and since which software version, introduced the sporadic overnight battery drain?
- Which cars still show a stale vehicle speed on the infotainment bus after the latest gateway update?
- Since when has the steering angle sensor sent a frozen alive counter, and on which vehicles?
- Were there any CAN error frames when the parking failure happened?
- What were the vehicle speed and steering angle when lane keeping assist switched off?
Fleet tracks every vehicle by VIN, rig and software configuration. It correlates faults across all buses of the network and follows each issue from its first occurrence to its confirmed fix. Instead of a status slide built by hand, each vehicle gets a production-readiness verdict linked to the traces that justify it.
At the show, TraceSpeak will demonstrate Fleet live on a five-vehicle hybrid test fleet with full five-bus network logging. Visitors can inject faults, such as a gateway that stops routing a PDU or a sensor with a stuck alive counter, and watch Fleet find the root cause, the affected vehicles and the software version where the problem began.
“Test fleets already hold the answers to most release questions. They’re just buried in the logs,” said a TraceSpeak spokesperson. “Fleet turns those recordings into straight answers with evidence an engineer can check in seconds.”
