VBOX 4 - GNSS Data Logger
At its core is a 100 Hz multi-constellation GNSS receiver with RTK as standard, delivering centimetre-level position, 0.1 km/h velocity accuracy and brake distance accuracy within ±1.8 cm via the brake trigger input. It automatically logs the vehicle's entire CAN bus, including CAN FD, with no need to pre-select channels — so nothing is missed and specific channels can be chosen later in VBOX Test Suite, where pre-configured plugins give instant pass/fail results. Two independent CAN ports can synchronise two buses into a single file, all time-aligned with GNSS.
Paired with the IMU05, VBOX 4 forms a robust inertial navigation system, adding yaw, pitch and roll, translating measurements to any point on the vehicle (such as the centre of gravity), and holding accuracy where GNSS is degraded by occlusion or multipath. Ethernet connectivity supports all major driving robots for repeatable ADAS and autonomous testing.
Three models cover different needs, with VBOX 4 Dynamics adding an enhanced receiver for high-dynamic work: body heading, slip angle, pitch and roll at 100 Hz for aquaplaning, ESC, lane-change and tyre testing. Compliant with Euro NCAP and NHTSA standards.
