For automotive and component manufacturers, the 6162 Series supports airflow evaluation inside environmental test chambers, curing and forming equipment, heated-air systems, industrial ovens, and other processes where conventional airflow instruments cannot tolerate the operating temperature.
High-Temperature Measurement
With the appropriate probe, the 6162 Series can measure air velocity in high-temperature air streams up to 752°F (400°C) and temperature up to 932°F (500°C). Air-velocity measurements extend up to 50.0 m/s, with the available measurement range varying according to the air temperature and selected probe.
Temperature-compensation circuitry helps maintain accurate air-velocity measurements when air-stream temperatures fluctuate rapidly.

Probe Options
Model 0203 is the mid-temperature probe and supports temperature measurement up to 392°F (200°C).
Models 0204 and 0205 are high-temperature probes capable of measuring temperature up to 932°F (500°C) and airflow in air streams up to 752°F (400°C). The Model 0204 is approximately 1,000 mm long, while the shorter Model 0205 is approximately 500 mm long.
