The IMU05 measures vehicle attitude with extreme accuracy. Using three high-precision gyroscopes, it captures roll, pitch and yaw rate, and combines with your VBOX data logger to deliver slip angle and precise attitude data.

Paired with VBOX 4 , it measures pitch and roll to 0.02° RMS and slip angle to 0.15° RMS. The higher-specification IMU05-S improves this further, to 0.013° RMS pitch and roll, 0.1° RMS slip angle and 0.8°/hr bias stability.

Setup is fast: a simple acceleration and braking event is all that's needed before testing begins, removing the figure-of-eight manoeuvres other systems rely on. Integrated with GNSS, the IMU05 also helps maintain measurement reliability where satellite coverage drops.

Applications include vehicle dynamics testing, tyre analysis and competitive benchmarking of vehicle performance.
