The Kvaser Edge WL420S is a rugged, IP67-rated edge computer that combines real-time CAN data acquisition with high-performance edge computing and advanced networking capabilities. Featuring a powerful i.MX8 multicore processor with integrated NPU, two Gigabit Ethernet interfaces, WiFi 6, GNSS positioning, and an onboard IMU, it is designed for demanding edge analytics, connected vehicle applications, and cloud-connected deployments.

Running Kvaser Edge OS (KEOS), a Linux-based operating system, the WL420S supports multiple Linux distributions and integrated container technology for secure deployment of custom applications. With four galvanically isolated CAN FD channels, integrated battery backup, and support for trigger-based operation, it is suitable for both advanced development projects and large-scale production deployments.

Please Note: To split the four channels into separate connections and enable power, a splitter cable, product 01633-0 is required, sold separately.
