Acutronic’s Simulation & Test Division designs, develops, manufactures, installs, tests, and refurbishes motion simulation platforms for a wide variety of applications and industries. Acutronic’s motion simulators are used in R&D and production environments where sensor packages (often including gyroscopes and accelerometers) must be subjected to highly precise positioning and / or dynamic motion profiles in order to verify the quality of the sensor’s output data. Acutronic offers both standard and custom solutions, regularly designing motion platforms around unique customer needs. Acutronic’s motion simulators are used around the world in a variety of industries including aerospace, defense, automotive, and consumer electronics. In addition, the Simulation & Test Division’s Pittsburgh-based Business Unit (ASTU) develops and refurbishes stabilized or gimballed-platforms utilized in applications such as tracking mounts, gun turrets, and directed-energy systems.
