Alexandre Tiberio Joppert de Castro Leal is a Senior Vehicle Dynamics Test Engineer at Zoox, developing and calibrating autonomous robotaxis for occupant ride comfort. With 35 years in automotive engineering, he spent 18 years at Volkswagen do Brasil, led vehicle dynamics development of award-winning pickups at General Motors do Brasil, and served as Chief Engineer and Expert at Great Wall Motors, leading 35 engineers. He holds a patent for autonomous driving handling performance, founded Tetrahedron Development, and holds master’s degrees in Vehicle Dynamics (University of São Paulo, 2009) and Global Automotive Manufacturing Engineering (University of Michigan, 2022).
