Sowmya Jayaraman is currently a thermal lead for next-generation electric vehicles. She has extensive experience in virtual engineering and vehicle program management across her 25 years in GM and has been a technical specialist in the thermal domain for over a decade. She currently serves as Chair for the SAE Battery Committee and as associate editor for SAE International Journal of Electrified Vehicles. She has served in the Thermal Management committee for over a decade, as a chair and organizer of the annual TMSS. Jayaraman is a recipient of GM’s "Boss" Kettering Award.
