Toolbox for embracing standards: The openDAQ approach
21 Oct 2025
Tuesday, October 21, afternoon session
This presentation introduces openDAQ, an open-source SDK designed to address the fragmented test and measurement landscape, which is often characterized by many standards, protocols and proprietary formats. openDAQ provides a unified API for seamless hardware integration across various devices and supported protocols, ultimately embracing industry standards for true plug-and-play functionality and reducing vendor lock-in. openDAQ aims to accelerate development for vendors and simplify integration for engineers, fostering a strong community for shared infrastructure and comprehensive support, allowing for faster development and focusing on hardware and sensors instead of software integration.
- An overview about the current issues in the test and measurement industry – too many standards, tools and custom integrations
- How openDAQ helps solve this technological fragmentation – with an open-source SDK, providing a unified API
- How openDAQ does away with the need for customer integrations and introduces plug&play to the test and measurement domain
- About the demo at openDAQ's booth.
- Options for joining the openDAQ community and how you can benefit from becoming an openDAQ member
