How to select testing equipment according to lEC 60068 standard — Shock Test
IEC
60068 is one of the standard series on environmental testing issued by the
International Electrotechnical Commission. The IEC 60068 standard series
provides a series of environmental test methods for electronic and electrical
products to evaluate their performance and reliability under various
environmental conditions. The IEC 60068 standard series consists of multiple
parts, each part covering different environmental test methods and parameters.
The main topic of this section is shock testing.
01 Overview
This part provides a standard procedure for determining the ability of a specimen to withstand specified severities of non-repetitive or repetitive shocks. The purpose of this test is to reveal mechanical weakness and/or degradation in specified performances, or accumulated damage or dearadation caused by shocks, and to utilize this information, together with relevant specifications, to decide whether specimens meet the requirements. In some cases, these shock tests can also be used to determine the structural integrity of specimens or as a means of quality control.

02 KRD11
Pneumatic Vertical Shock Test System
KRD11
is a fully automatic pneumatic lifting vertical shock test system. It is
vertical shock test equipment with novel design, high degree of automation,
simple operation and convenient maintenance. Pneumatic drive, simple structure
and high reliability. Full pneumatic drive shock, clean and
environmentally friendly, simple structure and high reliability.
It
is used to measure and determine the impact resistance of products or
packaging, and assess the functional reliability and structural integrity of
the test product in a shock environment. This system can perform various
conventional classic shock tests to realize the shock wave and shock energy
that the product is subjected to in the actual environment, thereby improving
the system or optimizing the structure of the product.
The
half-sine wave generator is mainly made of engineering rubber (considering the
stiffness and cohesive force of rubber) and felt pads of various
thicknesses. Optional post-peak sawtooth and trapezoidal wave generator.
03 KRD12 Pneumatic Horizontal Shock Test System
KRD12
series shock test system is used to measure and determine the horizontal shock
resistance of a product or package, and to evaluate the reliability and
structural integrity of the test unit in a horizontal shock
environment. The system can perform half-sine wave, post-peak sawtooth
wave, or trapezoid wave shock test to realize the shock energy that the product
is subjected to in the actual environment, thereby improving the product or
packaging structure.
It
is mainly used for subjects that cannot be tested on a vertical shock test
bench or that require horizontal installation of fixtures, to conduct shock
tests. It is especially suitable for testing automotive components and lithium
batteries for new energy vehicles.
