Used to simulate sensors on a dSPACE SCALEXIO hardware-in-the-loop setup for sensor fusion and function testing.  The ESI Unit synchronizes the simulation of individual sensors of lidar and radar and supports time-correlated feeding on raw sensor data to one or more camera ECUs.
