Sampling Moire Camera System

The system is based on the sampling moiré method, which is a specialized optical technique.
- A grid (grating) pattern attached to or projected on the test object
- A high resolution camera system to record changes
- Digital image processing to calculate the displacement from changes in the moiré pattern
As the object deforms (due to stress, heat, or other influences), the grating deforms as well.
This deformation alters the moiré pattern. The camera captures these pattern changes, and advanced algorithms analyze them to calculate movement in all three directions—X, Y, and Z—with micron-level precision.
