Engineers can leverage the BCE for requirements-based testing of battery management systems (BMS) in electric vehicles, aircraft, and energy storage applications — without the risks of working with live batteries.

Each unit provides 12 independently isolated cells, and multiple BCEs can be connected in series to achieve system voltages of up to 1300 V. Complementary tools include the Temperature Sensor Emulator (TSE) for BMS thermal management testing and the Fault Insertion Unit (FIU) for introducing conditions such as short circuits or reverse polarity.

Whether deployed as a desk-based setup or as part of a scalable rack system connected to a Performance test system, the BCE supports thousands of I/O signals and protocols through more than 40 I/O modules.
